Nutritionist Sofie van Kempen and Shan Cooper from My Food Religion are coming to Brio Emporium Burleigh to run their very popular Keto & Low Carb Meal Prep Madness Workshop!
The girls love to cook pure unadulterated food that is not only good for the body but also good for the soul. This workshop is designed to help you gain confidence in the kitchen and assist you to batch cook and prepare healthy meals for the week ahead. As we all know failing to prepare is preparing to fail, especially with the busy lives we lead this day and age. The workshop will focus upon utilising simple, real food to make delicious healthy recipes that don't take hours slaving away in the kitchen because really who does have the time... not us!
In the workshop the girls will demonstrate how to produce numerous healthy main meals suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as demonstrate how to prep some healthy, easy and affordable snacks for the week ahead. Taste testers will be provided throughout the workshop.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who is trying to decrease their sugar intake, aiming to eat more plants as well as make smarter balanced meal choices. The girls will also briefly chat about keto and low carb, why the diets were designed, what is actually happening in your body when following those diets and how they are individually tailored to all as well as debunk some myths around the topics.
To get an idea of the recipes that will be covered at the workshop and that you will get to taste test.
The girls will show you how to make a very versatile slow cooked shredded protein turned into a huge variety of nutritious meals.
Think cauliflower mash, pesto zucchini noodles, taco boats, cauliflower fried rice, a variety of veggie loaded dips, sauces and spreads. As well as some breakfast frittata recipes and snacks.
What you need to bring: just yourself. We will be sending out the recipes in an email afterward the workshop so it is up to you if you want to bring a pen and paper along.
Note: this workshop is not a hands on workshop for attendees however we demonstrate hands on up the front of the class.
